Sue’s Pick – Bamboo Age Corrective Masque and Neroli Hydrating Mist

What I love most about these two age corrective products is they’re not only nourishing for my skin, but they’re equally beneficial to my hair!

I had a “eureka” moment recently when I ran out of detangle spray for my daughter’s hair, that’s when I noticed my Neroli Hydrating Mist on the shelf and thought, “Hmm… wait a minute… contains coconut water… neroli oil… let’s give this a try!” And, BAAAMMM! Just as I suspected, it’s a great hair detangler too!

A similar “eureka” moment happened a few months ago while applying the Bamboo Age Corrective Masque to my face. I wasn’t wearing a headband and quite a bit of the masque got into my hairline. I had some extra in my hands so thought, what the heck, I’ll rub it into the ends of my hair (since I’m going to have to wash it anyway). After removing it in the shower, I couldn’t help but notice how soft and silky my hair felt. I typed “nourishing properties of bamboo extract” into my Google search bar and a whole wack of hair articles popped up. I found out that bamboo extract contains the highest amount of silica than any other plant source. This is exciting news, because silica is a very important mineral that few people know much about yet it is vital in keeping our skin, hair and nails healthy. When we’re born, we have an abundance of silica in our bodies, which the reason why children have such beautiful healthy looking skin, hair, and nails. As we age silica decreases. Silica also happens to aid in hormonal balance, and hormonal imbalances are the single most cause for thinning and loss of hair. The bamboo extract, found in the Bamboo Age Corrective Masque along with other nourishing ingredients such as argan stem cells, oil and shea butter are incredible for helping to moisturize and repair your face and your hair. Use the Bamboo Age Corrective Masque as a weekly face and hair treatment or a small dab of the Bamboo Firming Fluid, or the masque on your fingertips to instantly tame fly-aways after blow drying and give it a healthy, silica, and fatty acid infused shine!

Christine’s Pick – Tropical Vanilla Moisturizer SPF 30

I could just inhale this intoxicating moisturizer all day! It smells absolutely heavenly but more importantly, it offers superior protection from UVA/UVB rays and increases the skin’s ability to retain moisture by a whopping 250%! A little of this 2-in-1 product goes a LONG way, so it’s also great bang for your buck!

My skin is quite dry, and being fair, I need to be cautious of the sun’s rays… so the Tropical Vanilla Moisturizer is also my pick for sun protection, especially during the winter months when there’s less moisture in the air. I love to work it in all over my face and neck and arms to stretch out that wonderful vanilla aroma and give my skin the moisture and protection it needs and deserves.

My boyfriend also shares an affection for my Tropical Vanilla SPF pick. As someone who works outside, he’s learned the hard way about the importance of wearing sunscreen. Plus he has an aesthetician girlfriend on his case all the time about the dangers of UV rays. Although I have a hard getting him to moisturize, he’s pretty good at making sure he applies his sunscreen, so a product like this is perfect for him! The fresh vanilla scent is neutral enough that it doesn’t feel too feminine and I can feel confident knowing he is getting the protection and hydration his skin needs throughout the day.

Moisturize, dammit!

Jenn’s Pick – Neroli Age Corrective Eye Serum

This lightweight eye cream is the BEST in my books! This collagen-boosting serum is also full of antioxidants, vitamins, and nutrients to help nourish and protect our most delicate facial area. My favourite thing about this serum is that I LOVE that I can target so many areas at once. Normally, I would suggest sticking to the orbital bone when applying eye creams because they are on the heavier side and tend to seep up into the eye area throughout the day… but that’s not the case with the Neroli Serum.  This light gel is fast absorbing and great for all skins, as well as people with sensitive eyes. I find it especially great for individuals who are starting to notice their eye lids sag or develop the crepe like “chicken skin” on the inner corners of the eye. I also like to rub it into the forehead “11” and laugh lines on my clients during facials. Wear this eye serum alone or under a heavier eye cream for noticeable, amazing results.
